For my University of Sydney client, I was asked to conceive the best possible way to inspire delegates attending the University’s annual symposium devoted to Equity and Diversity issues. As I had already conducted many interviews with academics, I interspersed these profiles with other important career-advancing information for the attending delegates. Importantly, the design signalled both visually and content-wise that BOTH men and women were important for driving change on campus. Here is a PDF of the 54-page workbook with which each delegate was provided.

ARTICLES IN PRINTIn a recent issue of Sunday Life magazine, Josephine Brouard pens a piece about mortality and grieving. Here's what readers had to say about it: "Your article put a real smile on my face. We all die and it is how we live our moments while we are here that count; my husband would be very pleased with the adventures I have had since his passing. I hope your attitude is embraced by all who read your article and maybe even make some rethink their attitude." Here's an excerpt from another letter: "I just read your article and I can really relate. Having buried (cremated actually) two husbands I felt exactly like you - there were no 'what ifs'. They died loving me, and me loving them. It made it all so much easier and there was a lot of laughter at both funerals, but many people did not understand." Sunday Life Nov 23 2014
Launched in early September 2014 is Diversity Unplugged, a collection of candid interviews with 10 Australian CEOs - including the leaders of Mirvac, Microsoft, the ABC and the chief of Australia's army - who all talk frankly about the business of leadership, specifically with reference to managing increasingly diverse workplaces. With increasing numbers of employees outside the Anglo-Saxon mould, business leaders are valuing employee differences, and seeing their businesses flourish as a result.
